When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Juan Almeida put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Almeida in the 7th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benê Arósio in the 9th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Almeida came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Bertie Johnson. In the 19th minute of the match Yuri Meira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Barrett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Almeida came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Juan Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Tião Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Riograndense FC's Juan Almeida in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curacao's goalie prevented a goal. Lino Torres took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half Riograndense FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyle Davies to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Vasconcelos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bruno Barrett. Pedro Augusto Vasconcelos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 60th minute, Yuri Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute Lino Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute Rômulo Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rocco Owen fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Rocco Owen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Rocco Owen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Barrett acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Benê Arósio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Almeida got free with Bruno Barrett in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Riograndense FC's Dé Linhares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Juan Almeida in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Barrett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Juan Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benê Arósio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 85 minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Lino Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riograndense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Riograndense FC played a much better game than Curacao and deserved their victory. The Curacao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
