A collision led to Benemy FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jeremias Alfonso hit a great ball. After 22 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leszek Barniszke was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Geert Damstra kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Leszek Barniszke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Benemy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Iraitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Benemy FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Santos Tiso hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 46 played minutes Benemy FC got a freekick which was hit by Santos Tiso. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Castulo to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. In the 55th match minute, Benemy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Castulo to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Iraitz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Leszek Barniszke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute.
