Petru Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Örjan Forssell took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Nisporeanu came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petru Nisporeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Liu Yan Yan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petru Nisporeanu was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game.

The wind increased when Örjan Forssell made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Örjan Forssell in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes in the game, Lautaro Mancebo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Petru Nisporeanu having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Peñarol FIFV. 84 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Oriche Ruelas came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
