This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rodolfo Romero as he didn't even see the shot coming. A sloppy throw-in by Igor Noe in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Iker Tafalla. Murciélagos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Hector Covarrubias scored to the left of an out of position Rodolfo Romero, making the score, 2-0. Igor Noe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Murciélagos FC booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Igor Noe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Iker Tafalla hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Murciélagos FC's Reynaldo Arotza got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Romero having to interfere. Rodolfo Romero came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Romero having to interfere.
