Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 23rd match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Favila to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silverio Gonsalve. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Silverio Gonsalve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Gonsalve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DESTROY's Isidro Valente was substituted for Armando Maradona. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silverio Gonsalve made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 64th minute. Silverio Gonsalve didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 64th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhuang Hai Xu in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Valente in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, DESTROY's Silverio Gonsalve got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Valente in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Silverio Gonsalve could save by the left post. Eriberto Cefero hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DESTROY.
