After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severiano Bartoli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of atletic Luprechauns booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Severiano Bartoli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. The atletic Luprechauns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-3.

If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 60th minute of play. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panama played a much better game than atletic Luprechauns and deserved their victory. The atletic Luprechauns players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
