Angel-Enrique Comizzo came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Angel-Enrique Comizzo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 16 minutes into the game, Thomas Rogne threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Anthony Alvarado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of play forced Blue Angels's goalkeeper Angel-Enrique Comizzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel-Enrique Comizzo made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. After 37 played minutes Julian Murillo rounded Blue Angels's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. 40 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Björk came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Angel-Enrique Comizzo, 5-0. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Thomas Rogne made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game. After having played for 47 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes Blue Angels's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Blue Angels booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luz Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrik Skark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
