In the 20th minute George Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Gunnar Ekeroth could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which George Buffon however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunnar Ekeroth in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Three Lions FC were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. George Kroos took the corner. George Foden was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After recieving a nice pass, Three Lions FC's George Kroos tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
