Gnaget United FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Okaner Dilşad in the 15th minute. The corner led Gnaget United FC's Okaner Dilşad to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ronnie Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ronnie Hellström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronnie Hellström came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clóvis Cabral did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 32 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clóvis Cabral in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Okaner Dilşad was slow to take the kick. During this time Gnaget United FC's players had a chance to rest. Gnaget United FC's Okaner Dilşad was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clóvis Cabral's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Hellström having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Camilo Gisbert made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cristian Sancho immediately put the ball in play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Utretskiy in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Gnaget United FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Kling came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Gnaget United FC's Ronnie Hellström got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Bogdan Utretskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gnaget United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bogdan Utretskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Kling in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gnaget United FC's Ronnie Hellström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Gnaget United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ronnie Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Utretskiy in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gnaget United FC throughout the match.
