Marcus Wester struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ralles Bollklubb. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Classon in the 7th minute of the match. Efrain Moruga lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 9th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. 17 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Odén. Ralles Bollklubb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Noboa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Påk came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Wester in the 21st minute of play. Eliseo Noboa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Kristian Odén made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Leif Classon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Adam Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Kristian Odén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Marcus Wester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Alfons Påk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Kristian Odén in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute Costa Rica were awarded a corner. Axel Tasis went to the cornerflag to take it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt Colin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcus Wester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ralles Bollklubb getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Johannes Ahlquist hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt Colin got free with Benito Sanz in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the game, Ralles Bollklubb's Marcus Wester nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. In the 70th match minute, Ralles Bollklubb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Påk to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Colin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Tor Hjelm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leif Classon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. After 81 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Ralles Bollklubb players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. When Ralles Bollklubb's Bengt Colin in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Bengt Colin took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Colin in the 97th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralles Bollklubb's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
