Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giannis Kazatzis went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Giannis Kassianidis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 59 minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktoras Mavrakis in the 67th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Giannis Kassianidis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 76 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giannis Kassianidis, 4-3. Tomas Illescas in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giannis Kassianidis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Viktoras Mavrakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 92 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Viktoras Mavrakis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
