Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Noboa ran back to his position shaking his head. Anjo Gafus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Bonito Teufer took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Erik Piller took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anjo Gafus having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Erik Piller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Schönhagen 1's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Piller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Bonito Teufer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Conni Viehl got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Erik Piller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conni Viehl was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Benito Sanz had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Erik Piller's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Schönhagen 1 the free kick. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conni Viehl in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bonito Teufer in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 99th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fc Schönhagen 1 fully deserved thier win.
