FC Henger ATI's Toader Vlădean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play forced FC Henger ATI's goalkeeper Toader Vlădean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Henger ATI's Cosmin Rădescu. But to his dismay, Cosmin Rădescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 24th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Vlădean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Henger ATI's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Vlădean came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 35 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when FC Henger ATI's Ernest Cumpanașu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dumitru Ababei struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Henger ATI. In the 44thth minute of the game Ernest Cumpanașu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Hăulică got free with Julio Vera in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. A collision led to FC Henger ATI getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Henger ATI's Toader Vlădean did a great save. FC Henger ATI's Toader Vlădean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FC Henger ATI from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Rădescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Cumpanașu in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Henger ATI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Haidău didn't get a good kick on the ball.
