Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off. The supporters of S O B E R A N O CIMZ booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Barral in the 5th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of S O B E R A N O CIMZ booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abram Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Battal Gazi Bey in the 8th minute of the match. Kevin Mastache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fran Guerola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Abram Sarmiento took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fran Guerola. Fran Guerola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson Barral in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of S O B E R A N O CIMZ booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Thomas Kielland managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Fran Guerola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abram Sarmiento's late challenge caught a S O B E R A N O CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abram Sarmiento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Fran Guerola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Jailson Barral took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson Barral got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fran Guerola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fran Guerola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to S O B E R A N O CIMZ getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Battal Gazi Bey hit a great ball. If Jailson Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson Barral to make the kick off. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Battal Gazi Bey in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in S O B E R A N O CIMZ's zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fran Guerola came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jailson Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Lindø, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Battal Gazi Bey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Gildo Pontes was substituted for Christiano Amaral. Fran Guerola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Leif-Eric St. Juste fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S O B E R A N O CIMZ's protests and gave Leif-Eric St. Juste a yellow card for diving instead. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Fran Guerola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save S O B E R A N O CIMZ from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Colombia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Abram Secada scored 2-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fran Guerola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. S O B E R A N O CIMZ were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
