The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Franciszek Kosiorek threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Tróia in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Radziszewski in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Franciszek Kosiorek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Oberschlesien fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
