Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gelu Alexandrescu made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5thth minute of the game Gelu Alexandrescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Cezar Cucu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's supporters rose to their feet, but Cezar Cucu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nechifor Păunescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Cezar Cucu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nechifor Păunescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Alexandrescu in the 18th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Păunescu having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Gelu Alexandrescu in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. 24 minutes into the game, Gelu Alexandrescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nechifor Păunescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Gelu Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play forced Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nechifor Păunescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nechifor Păunescu quite easily take care of the ball. Nechifor Păunescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Gelu Alexandrescu in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was Doru Barna who took care of the corner kick. Doru Barna made a great header on Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nechifor Păunescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Hârlab to maneuver through the defense. Vali Cucu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gelu Alexandrescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Nechifor Păunescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nechifor Păunescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Alexandrescu in the 74th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezar Cucu in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Păunescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 81st minute of play. After 85 minutes, Gelu Alexandrescu made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati made a substitution. Iustin Anghelescu replaced Gelu Alexandrescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Săliştean in the 89th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Cezar Cucu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
