Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sportivo Mela Banco's Zeledon Ilazki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. Sportivo Mela Banco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 16th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Ilazki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play forced Sportivo Mela Banco's goalkeeper Zeledon Ilazki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Antonio Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Ilazki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the match, Sportivo Mela Banco's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Sebastián Puig came free, but Zeledon Ilazki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Ilazki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After 28 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Ilazki was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Ilazki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. In the 42nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Ilazki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sportivo Mela Banco's Zeledon Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montes in the 44th minute of play. Zeledon Ilazki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sportivo Mela Banco's Zeledon Ilazki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Mela Banco from getting a goal against them. Zeledon Ilazki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Sportivo Mela Banco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Juan Sebastián Puig fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 58 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeledon Ilazki made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Sportivo Mela Banco defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. The Sportivo Mela Banco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Ilazki should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Zeledon Ilazki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sportivo Mela Banco's Zeledon Ilazki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Mela Banco from getting a goal against them. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. In the 75th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-12. After some careless play in the Sportivo Mela Banco defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. The Sportivo Mela Banco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Ilazki should have stopped the shot. Zeledon Ilazki made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Ilazki. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primitivo Andino got free with Zeledon Ilazki in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Felix Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeledon Ilazki. That made the score 0-16 after 93 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sportivo Mela Banco.
