Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Efrain Moruga's late challenge caught a atletic Luprechauns's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Moruga helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Estavan. In the 7th minute, Roque Estavan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Aldo Pe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Aldo Pe slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Severiano Bartoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severiano Bartoli came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 31st minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 34 minutes on the clock, Alan Moruga commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! 3-1 came through a penalty shot after 37 played minutes, when atletic Luprechauns:s Celestino Urtsin calmly waited for Costa Rica:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Severiano Bartoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Puig in the 40th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Uxio came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roque Estavan made a kick off. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by atletic Luprechauns's Roque Estavan. But to his dismay, Roque Estavan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Estavan in the 56th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Pe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Aldo Pe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Estavan in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Estavan in the 68th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by atletic Luprechauns's Roque Estavan. But to his dismay, Roque Estavan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After 77 played minutes atletic Luprechauns got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Pereyra. atletic Luprechauns's Severiano Bartoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. atletic Luprechauns walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
