Lorenzo Cazalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 2kC Poznań's Tadeusz Rutkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save 2kC Poznań from getting a goal against them. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Janusz Pusiak in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tadeusz Rutkowski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ulryk Merski hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, 2kC Poznań's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Tadeusz Rutkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 39th minute. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by 2kC Poznań's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Rouco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tadeusz Rutkowski quite easily take care of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Tadeusz Rutkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 minutes 2kC Poznań's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Facundo Cadaval got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tadeusz Rutkowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 55 played minutes 2kC Poznań got a freekick which was hit by Janusz Pusiak. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeusz Rutkowski having to interfere. 2kC Poznań's Zachary Plaski was substituted for Stanislaw Kisielka. After 61 played minutes 2kC Poznań got a freekick which was hit by Czeslaw Hoffman. In the 62nd minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tadeusz Rutkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 67th minute of the match. Czeslaw Hoffman hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 2kC Poznań's Tadeusz Rutkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janusz Pusiak in the 78th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 82 in the game by Janusz Pusiak from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. The supporters of Mexico booed when 2kC Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veijo Väätäinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janusz Pusiak in the 90th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Janusz Pusiak's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
