Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Atilano Quinten kicked off to start the match. 10 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matías Patrone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matías Patrone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Matías Patrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo scored 0-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matías Patrone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matías Patrone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Quinten got free with Rolando Noboa in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matías Patrone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play. Matías Patrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Delfines's Matías Patrone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Matías Patrone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Patrone having to interfere. A collision led to Los Delfines getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Honorio Eder hit a great ball.

In the 53rd minute, Tomáš Kožený left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Delfines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. José Luis Brown made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ambrosio Bartolome. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Matías Patrone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Oliver Bierhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Oliver Bierhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alonso Berganza made in the 69th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Moises Gayoso. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Delfines's goalkeeper Matías Patrone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Oliver Bierhoff made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Milagros Fraga kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. After 82 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Fraga. José Luis Brown made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Efraim Gilabert. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Bierhoff went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by José Luis Brown in the 88 minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when Los Delfines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Luis Brown didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
