Celso Trevisan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Corneliu Dridu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 19th minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Cassius Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cassius Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute of the match Dr Lecter SC got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Romero ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Dr Lecter SC's Tihomir Donevski to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's Cassius Byrne got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 40th minute of play forced Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Celso Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Trevisan was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corneliu Dridu to make the kick off. Celso Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 58th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Moore to maneuver through the defense. Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celso Trevisan was a little too slow when Cassius Byrne got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-2. Edward Mcdonald hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Celso Trevisan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 66th minute. If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Laércio Guedes replaced Lauro Antunes. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. Sam Campbell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Khalid Parry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Dr Lecter SC got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Da Guía. 88 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Celso Trevisan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sam Campbell. Sam Campbell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Celso Trevisan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Dr Lecter SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
