Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melker Aspengren in the 4th minute of the match. Reynaldo Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 7th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Tino having to interfere. Reynaldo Tino came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Swindon Sweden FF's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Reynaldo Tino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reynaldo Tino quite easily take care of the ball. Reynaldo Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Falck in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. After 41 minutes Swindon Sweden FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Luca Rouco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino did a great save. In the 42nd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Swindon Sweden FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Östman to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Reynaldo Tino in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Filiberto Sauca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Swindon Sweden FF's Algot Spets was substituted for Kurt Haglund. Filiberto Sauca hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Algot Spets in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 75th minute Marcus Östman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Tino made a huge save. Reynaldo Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 78th minute of the match. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reynaldo Tino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Sten Jespersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot.
