Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Horia Tătaru took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horia Tătaru in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horia Tătaru in the 22nd minute. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horia Tătaru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Horia Tătaru slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 26th minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Horia Tătaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Horia Tătaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preator Edikt's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Tătaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Stig-Ove Blomqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. After 53 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. 54 minutes into the game, Preator Edikt's Stig-Ove Blomqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. If Stig-Ove Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Preator Edikt's Albert Örnberg was substituted for Fellipe Vianna. Jiang came free in the 63rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Benito Sanz, but to the joy of Costa Rica's supporters the ball went over. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Preator Edikt were awarded a corner. Luís Gustavo Barbosa went to the cornerflag to take it. Luís Gustavo Barbosa shot a long shot in the 71st minute and a light blocked Benito Sanz hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 6-0. Stig-Ove Blomqvist took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Stig-Ove Blomqvist notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 88th minute of play. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Ove Blomqvist's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 93rd minute of play.
