Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Guará FC's Nelsinho Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Nelsinho Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Guará FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jordan Radojević hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelsinho Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nelsinho Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 28th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Guará FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guará FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nelsinho Nascimento quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ronaldão Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Paulista came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 57 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harold Willson who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Vieira in the 60th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Nelsinho Nascimento in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nelsinho Nascimento. That made the score 1-2 after 68 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Nelsinho Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nelsinho Nascimento could save by the left post. Tiago Gabriel Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lachezar Dzhevov hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guará FC's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Nascimento came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Ronaldão Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Vieira in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Beckenbauer to maneuver through the defense.
