Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ronaldão Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 8th minute Felix Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Nelsinho Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nelsinho Nascimento in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 16th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Guará FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 17 minutes into the game, Lachezar Dzhevov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guará FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lachezar Dzhevov to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guará FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Agustín Saelices managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 24 minutes into the game, Tiago Gabriel Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guará FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 27th minute Ronaldão Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Paulista. Guará FC's Nelsinho Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Nelsinho Nascimento. Guará FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tiago Gabriel Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldão Paulista made a kick off. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Nelsinho Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Baiano in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Guará FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Ronaldão Paulista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Nelsinho Nascimento to make any attempt to save it. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Guará FC's Nelsinho Nascimento got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 85th minute, Jordan Radojević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelsinho Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Guará FC's zone, Felix Montes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho Nascimento came out of the goal and Felix Montes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
