An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 19th minute of play forced Erzincan FK's goalkeeper Anıl Mücahit Efe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Ortega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Ortega took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Estevão Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Ariel Ortega put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Ariel Ortega's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Marcos Cotilla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Ariel Ortega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Ariel Ortega made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ariel Ortega's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Ariel Ortega scored 6-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erzincan FK's Anıl Mücahit Efe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Erzincan FK from getting a goal against them. After 65 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Jose Carita. In the 66th minute Ariel Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Ariel Ortega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Ariel Ortega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Carita made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Erzincan FK's Lefter Tanın. Ariel Ortega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Erzincan FK's Alptuğ Gözlem suffered a sore thigh after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Alex Cambeiro fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Alex Cambeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Erzincan FK's Rıdvan Yılmaz was substituted for Alptuğ Gözlem. After 80 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenel Barbaros, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Ortega in the 85th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Erzincan FK's zone, Isidoro Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anıl Mücahit Efe came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Ortega in the 93rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Ariel Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erzincan FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
