The referee showed Wilhelm Cane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Wilhelm Cane got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ronny Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermanö Oilers were furious when Jerry Vallin was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Jerry Vallin got a free kick in the 18th minute. Ronny Blom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronny Blom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anders Thedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efrain Moruga made in the 30th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aaron Alcocer however managed to control. Hermanö Oilers's Jan Nordström managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 33 minute of the game. Wilhelm Cane hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Hugo Ferrant got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lautaro Puig. Hugo Ferrant made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Puig immediately put the ball in play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Edvin Karlberg was the one to do the kick off. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Hermanö Oilers's Wilhelm Cane. Hermanö Oilers's attentive Wilhelm Cane managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. Hugo Ferrant made in the 56th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lautaro Puig. Hermanö Oilers's Jan Nordström managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 58 minute of the game. Ronny Blom came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ronny Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. 70 minutes in the game Efrain Moruga did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eliseo Noboa. Hermanö Oilers's attentive Peter Bank managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Hermanö Oilers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hermanö Oilers the free kick. After 82 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. Ronny Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Hermanö Oilers booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Abel Carballo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hermanö Oilers's Wilhelm Cane quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 90 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Alcocer came free, but Ronny Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Moruga made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eliseo Noboa immediately put the ball in play. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Rubio in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hermanö Oilers's Jan Nordström. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Costa Rica were victorious despite being under pressure from Hermanö Oilers for much of the match.
