Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Valeriu Povară came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. In the 45th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Radoslaw Tworek could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, UFC RAPID IASI's Octav Isvoreanu got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Radoslaw Tworek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Povară, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, UFC RAPID IASI's goalkeeper Radoslaw Tworek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Radoslaw Tworek made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 86 minutes into the game, UFC RAPID IASI's Gabríel Cristofor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball.
