Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aykutalp Hisar charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aykutalp Hisar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Aykutalp Hisar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Aykutalp Hisar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 26th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adem Ökkeş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Manuel Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Porto came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Manuel Porto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Adem Ökkeş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Kapalicarsi's Ahmet Oğuz Neşet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adem Ökkeş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kapalicarsi's Adem Ökkeş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Manuel Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kapalicarsi's Adem Ökkeş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Kapalicarsi from getting a goal against them. Adem Ökkeş made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Porto in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Kapalicarsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikail Özerol to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kapalicarsi throughout the match.
