VIP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dylan Van Bever was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Liu Sang Chao fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VIP's protests and gave Liu Sang Chao a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Вежен booed when VIP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liu Sang Chao didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dylan Van Bever in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dumitru Berca saved VIP from getting behind. When Gökçek Teksen fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Вежен's protests and gave Gökçek Teksen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Вежен's Gökçek Teksen got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ştefan Coșereanu got free with Van Halen in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dumitru Berca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martyn Efremov in the 23rd minute of the match. Вежен's attentive Christiaan Enskens managed to snatch the ball when Roberto Puig made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. After having played for 25 minutes, Dylan Van Bever managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Вежен's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dylan Van Bever was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Dylan Van Bever left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Вежен fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Dumitru Berca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martyn Efremov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dylan Van Bever recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Dylan Van Bever in the 52nd minute of play forced VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Dylan Van Bever managed to get in a good position for a shot. VIP's Dumitru Berca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save VIP from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the match, VIP's goalkeeper Dumitru Berca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dylan Van Bever. After 79 minutes, Elin Kechedzhiev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Вежен and the VIP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Van Halen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dobri Karapetrov in the 88th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of VIP:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Вежен:s goal. Martyn Efremov's late challenge caught a VIP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martyn Efremov helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Dylan Van Bever managed to get in a good position for a shot. Вежен's supporters rose to their feet, but Dylan Van Bever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dumitru Berca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Вежен walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
