In the 7th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Sebastião Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umbrella Corporation's supporters rose to their feet, but John Lennon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Umbrella Corporation's Sebastião Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 45th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Barbosa was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Umbrella Corporation's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Barbosa came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastião Barbosa. Sebastião Barbosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Sebastião Barbosa in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Lennon in the 70th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sebastião Barbosa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Umbrella Corporation's Sebastião Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Umbrella Corporation from getting a goal against them. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastião Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Umbrella Corporation's goalkeeper Sebastião Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Umbrella Corporation's Sebastião Barbosa got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sebastião Barbosa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mariano Lacasa scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Umbrella Corporation supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
