After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 5th minute. malaiko's Donato Madeira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joaquin Gayoso but with some difficulty. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Cubillas in the 8th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Prada having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Josh Jeffries mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the malaiko and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 13th minute of play forced malaiko's goalkeeper Henrique Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Cubillas in the 17th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Cubillas, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Donato Madeira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 石朗思 came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Gayoso could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when 石朗思 got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Prada having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Cubillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Prada having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 石朗思, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 石朗思 in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. malaiko made a substitution. Filipe Borges replaced Teofilo Cubillas. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. Filipe Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Joaquim Moutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. The supporters of Uruguay booed when malaiko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Madeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uruguay's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because malaiko had won, even though Uruguay had held more of the ball.
