Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Apolo Rius however easily saved by the left post. Misael Darroja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. With his leg Apolo Rius managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
