Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Babbis Evaggellidis ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Babbis Evaggellidis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Kostis in the 35th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Kane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Zinon Anagnostou managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Kostis in the 60th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zinon Anagnostou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Kostis came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Christos Kostis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christos Kostis in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 97th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
