After having played for 59 minutes, Hristo Stoichkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee showed David Alaba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mexico made a substitution. Bautista Elvira replaced Lautaro Mancebo. After a rather tough play, SvE United's David Alaba got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. 95 minutes into the match, SvE United's goalkeeper Tzvetoslav Desov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bautista Elvira. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
