Elano Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Elano Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elano Salgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albert Petruescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Rolando Noboa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Albert Petruescu had several of the Peru's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 38 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Rolando Noboa as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of PS Banyuwangi booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luz Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sobur Barenz was the one to do the kick off. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sansan Fingkreuw, made in the 51st minute of the game. With a little luck, PS Banyuwangi's Elano Salgado got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Petruescu in the 59th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elano Salgado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Elano Salgado made a huge save. PS Banyuwangi made a substitution. Harun Gumulya replaced Younky Satriawansyah. PS Banyuwangi's Mathias Daryana was substituted for Sobur Barenz. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Elano Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso.
