The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Luque got free with Peter Glanselius in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 14 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Glanselius made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. Bantayan BK's Peter Glanselius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Bantayan BK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Peter Glanselius in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bantayan BK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abram Luque 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Sandström during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herman Clementsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. A collision led to Bantayan BK getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Sture Josefsson hit a great ball. With a little luck, Bantayan BK's Peter Glanselius got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line.

52 minutes into the match, Bantayan BK's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Peter Glanselius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Tamayo in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Glanselius saved Bantayan BK from getting behind. Luis Rubio's late challenge caught a Bantayan BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bantayan BK booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abram Luque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Glanselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Tamayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bantayan BK's Peter Glanselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 82nd minute of play. El Salvador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
