Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Leicester Lions's Tod Freeman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Şükür Hagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Freeman in the 15th minute of play. Grant Blacknell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play forced Leicester Lions's goalkeeper Grant Blacknell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grant Blacknell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Will Patton fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leicester Lions's protests and gave Will Patton a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Leicester Lions's Will Patton got a free kick in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Grant Blacknell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Grant Blacknell. Leicester Lions's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şükür Hagi got free with Julio Vera in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Blacknell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grant Blacknell having to make a save. Grant Blacknell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Leicester Lions's Patryk Plučinský got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Leicester Lions's Grant Blacknell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grant Blacknell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Freeman in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Freeman in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Leicester Lions's Şükür Hagi. But to his dismay, Şükür Hagi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Leicester Lions made a substitution. Alexander Cheetham replaced Michal Budzyn. After 84 played minutes Leicester Lions got a freekick which was hit by Patryk Plučinský. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Grant Blacknell could save by the left post. In the 91st minute, Sebastien Clifford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Freeman in the 96th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
