After having played for 5 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vidar Browald narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beloslav Vesov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 63rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Alfons Emander put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After 68 played minutes, SWARS's Stamen Zimbilev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SWARS reached it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Emander, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Emander came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vidar Browald made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Vidar Browald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of SWARS booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Vidar Browald made a huge save. After 92 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Emander came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a SWARS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SWARS had played much better football throughout.
