Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Baykal Acabey got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Baykal Acabey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 6 minutes, Baykal Acabey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BASEL FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baykal Acabey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. BASEL FC's Mihail Dumitras got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Niculae Fărcășan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The audience was convinced that Baykal Acabey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Muchsin Maulana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Niculae Fărcășan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baykal Acabey's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Baykal Acabey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BASEL FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baykal Acabey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Dumitras, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Mihail Dumitras managed to get in a good position for a shot. BASEL FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihail Dumitras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niculae Fărcășan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Dumitras came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Mihail Dumitras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When the referee ended the match the BASEL FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
