After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Bernardo Romeo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Roman Fanuco in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 minutes of play, Coloma FC's Bernardo Romeo made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernardo Romeo took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Roman Fanuco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 97th minute of play. Coloma FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
