Ricardinho Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 5 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Peder Lefland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Jose Correa put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PALMEIRAS FC:s goal. Dé Matorin got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by João Vítor Nunes. In the 23rd minute, PALMEIRAS FC's Wiliam Goiano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bladi Soto. In the 30th minute Lorenzo Insigne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Vítor Nunes got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Paranaense. Wiliam Goiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Wiliam Goiano slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS FC's Dé Matorin got a free kick in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patricio Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, PALMEIRAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Ademir Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bladi Soto in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 72nd minute João Vítor Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th match minute, PALMEIRAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Wiliam Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Lorenzo Insigne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, PALMEIRAS FC's Lorenzo Insigne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Venezuela's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because PALMEIRAS FC had won, even though Venezuela had held more of the ball.
