Sven-Arne Tunström hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Grigor Ruski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 7th minute of the match. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gerasim Slabakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Radoy Semenov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Espinar in the 18th minute of play forced Lighters's goalkeeper Grigor Ruski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Zhivko Presolski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Lighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilyan Leshtanski to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Svetlozar Kiryazov's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Svetlozar Kiryazov helped the player get up and apologised. Svetlozar Kiryazov kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Grigor Ruski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Gerasim Slabakov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerasim Slabakov in the 61st minute of play. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Arne Tunström during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lighters's Sven-Arne Tunström got a free kick in the 67th minute. Luca Espinar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Grigor Ruski. Lighters's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viden Davchev in the 80th minute of play. Grigor Ruski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerasim Slabakov in the 85th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
