Miguel Miralles kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Longo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafinha Barral hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 41 minutes in the game, Staffan Nyberg dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Ernani Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFA Club's protests and gave Ernani Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Ernani Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrico Longo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Arnaldo Naldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, AFA Club's Rafinha Barral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Fiori Tasso took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 57th minute, Marquinhos Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFA Club's Reynaldo Paraibano was substituted for Marquinhos Nogueira. After 59 played minutes AFA Club got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Nogueira. After 64 played minutes, AFA Club's Staffan Nyberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFA Club reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Tomas Berganza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrico Longo. That made the score 1-1 after 68 minutes of play. Enrico Longo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 72nd minute. Enrico Longo was a little too slow when Isidoro Sarmiento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-2. When AFA Club's Fiori Tasso in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panama's goalie prevented a goal. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Staffan Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Staffan Nyberg came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafinha Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Staffan Nyberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFA Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Staffan Nyberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Nyberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
