Jakub Kuszczak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pogoń1945Staszów's Ştefan Lăcătuș. Alex Chicote made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alex Chicote immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Kuszczak in the 24th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Jakub Kuszczak sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jakub Kuszczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jakub Kuszczak made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ştefan Lăcătuș hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Giorgos Psichogiopoulos made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which 徐德伟 however managed to control. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakub Kuszczak in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Jakub Kuszczak made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 69 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline.
