In the 5thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK Skjold's Johnni Kirkskov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Johnni Kirkskov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnni Kirkskov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Johnni Kirkskov came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 25th minute of play forced BK Skjold's goalkeeper Johnni Kirkskov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 27th minute. It was a well-played corner which Alonso Berganza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The throw-in from Lars-Erik Angvik in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lionel Messias got free with Rolando Noboa in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nicko Vadmann in the 38 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lionel Messias in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. BK Skjold's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Genaro Procopio in the 42nd minute. The corner led BK Skjold's Genaro Procopio to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Eduino in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Eduino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Johnni Kirkskov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Johnni Kirkskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnni Kirkskov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BK Skjold made a substitution. Casimiro Gines replaced Jaime Shantala. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by BK Skjold's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Johnni Kirkskov quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Prats kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of BK Skjold booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Murillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after BK Skjold's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that BK Skjold's Johnni Kirkskov managed to reach the ball for a save. Genaro Procopio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Mo Qi Zheng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, BK Skjold's Johnni Kirkskov got control of the ball when Rafael Gallo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Johnni Kirkskov got in the way and made a wonderful save. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
