Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) R.C. Marseille's Cyrille Melon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, Mihail Toader notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Panama fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Panama's Tomas Berganza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Cyrille Melon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave Souchu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gustave Souchu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by R.C. Marseille's Cyrille Melon. But to his dismay, Cyrille Melon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Song Xing Le in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyrille Melon in the 41st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyrille Melon in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Mihail Toader left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R.C. Marseille fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. When Maxence Demay fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored R.C. Marseille's protests and gave Maxence Demay a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Maxence Demay hit a great ball. Maxence Demay kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Gustave Souchu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Djibril Mourot made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Souchu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 73rd minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrille Melon, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrille Melon in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 77th minute. The supporters of Panama booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Bouzat didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 85th minute of play forced R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Souchu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustave Souchu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Berganza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gustave Souchu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 95th minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Dylan Sarmiento hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. R.C. Marseille had played much better football throughout.
