The supporters of Peru booed when El ABUELO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafli Leonard didn't get a good kick on the ball. El ABUELO FC were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celestino Fix took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Teodoro Martxot managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Rodolfo Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Martxot came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El ABUELO FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. El ABUELO FC's Rodolfo Bertassi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save El ABUELO FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, El ABUELO FC's Ildefonso Gonzo got a free kick in the 59th minute. El ABUELO FC's Rodolfo Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Prats to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Valverde, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Martxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Rodolfo Bertassi in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Valverde in the 83rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Bertassi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. 89 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Rodolfo Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
