The audience thought a goal was coming when Yoga Cura got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th minute of the match Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Uriel Porfirio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Uriel Porfirio made a great header on Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's corner, it was just that Honduras's Lautaro Navarro managed to reach the ball for a save. 10 minutes into the game, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Yoga Cura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Mostovoi in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Acácio Gaspar. Acácio Gaspar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoga Cura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. When Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Yoga Cura in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Inácio Moreira made in the 64th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Beraldo Arboleda however managed to control. Beraldo Arboleda made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Honduras's attentive Christian Sancho managed to snatch the ball when Inácio Moreira made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the game, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Betinho Falcão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 81 minutes, Rony Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rony Pena hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Betinho Falcão came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Falcão couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Villa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Acácio Gaspar made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, Yoga Cura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yoga Cura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
