Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oliver Bierhoff took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Felix Garrido hit a great ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Oliver Bierhoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 18th minute of play. Hector Abadia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Los Delfines's Matías Patrone got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matías Patrone firmly grabbed it by the left post. Chile's Felix Garrido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hilario Asteri in the 42 minute of the game. Oliver Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Los Delfines's Matías Patrone. Matías Patrone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Oliver Bierhoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Oliver Bierhoff sent off a good shot on target. Oliver Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Los Delfines's Victor Jerrold was substituted for Saverio Regis. Los Delfines's Arquímedes Cesario was substituted for Oliver Bierhoff. Chile's attentive Felix Garrido managed to snatch the ball when Hilario Asteri made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. Arquímedes Cesario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's Arquímedes Cesario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benê Møltov kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Orlando Casaus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Delfines's Matías Patrone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arquímedes Cesario in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 87 minutes, Arquímedes Cesario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Delfines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arquímedes Cesario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matías Patrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 90th minute of the match. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Arquímedes Cesario tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Luis Brown hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chile fully deserved thier win.
